Game Description
You live in a small town in a Nordic European country as a 14-year old. Your parents won’t drive you, so you need to find your own way home from your friend’s house. Unfortunately, there are creepy figures in the woods and you keep hearing footsteps behind you. All the while you’re getting texts from your sister asking why you aren’t there yet. Walking through empty streets at night and being challenged by your deepest fears, you can’t help but feel alone. Can you make your way home?

Phone in game
Using a mobile phone to text your friends and family, having a compass and a flashlight to guide the player through the level on their way home. Telling the narrative story with the text, what the player is suppose to do and why they are doing it.
With your sister being mad at you for not being home and friends telling you to watch out for the bullies that are after you.

Sound
Since OMW is a horror game I wanted to convey that through the sound design with having a uncomfortable ambience that makes the player feel unsafe and always looking behind their back. Using sound effects for jump scares and player guidance.
In the beginning of the game our character leave a party where rock music plays and how it slowly fades away the further the player goes from the house.
Fades into "ambience" when the player walks through the neighbourhood. When they arrive to the forest, the ambience continue but have more sound of wind and birds. The characters footstep changes after what type of ground they are walking on, and heavier breathing after jump scares. This to amplify the characters emotions and how he gets more and more scared.
